Official Canadian Grain Commission Test Weight Determination

The Cox Cone funnel and 0.5 liter cup are used together to provide you with the Official Grain Commission's Test Weight for the grain being tested.

Method:

• Place 0.5 liter cup on flat surface and then place Cox Cone Funnel on top.

• Put enough grain in the funnel to completely fill the 0.5 liter cup overflowing plus about another handful.

• Pull out the sliding door on funnel to allow grain to fall into the 0.5 liter cup.

• Take striker provided and place on edge of 0.5 liter cup and move across cup in sweeping motion to make grain flush with top edge of cup.

• Weigh the grain in the 0.5 liter cup and refer to the Official Grain Commission Test Weight charts to get the Test weight reading. (Kg/hl or Avery lb/bl)
